This past Sunday, the H20 Kids (age 5.5 to 12) learned the importance of pleasing God and not people.  This was illustrated through a story about a father and son who are on their way to town to sell a horse:

The point is the we can’t please everyone and shouldn’t even try (I told them that this doesn’t mean they don’t have to try to please thier parents!!) The BIble Verse for this lesson was:

Am I now trying to win the approval of men, or of God?

Or am I trying to please men? If I were still trying to please men,

I would not be a servant of Christ.

Galatians 1:10 NIV

In Puddle Jumpers (3 and potty trained to 5.5/6years old), the kids learned about Jesus ascending to heaven after his resurrection. The thing that seems to stick out most in my little girl’s mind was that:

1. Jesus floated up to heaven

2. but his spirit is still here and

3. two angels showed up after Jesus was out of sight.

Review this story with your Puddle Jumper

(Matthew 28:16-20)
