This Week in Newspring’s Children’s Ministries (5-10 to 5-17-09)

This past Sunday in Puddle Jumpers, the kids learned about Barnabas and how he shared. 

This lesson is a good opportunity to began teaching preschoolers the importance of tithes and offering to the church.

In H20, I opened up a question time (last week we talked about obeying our parents) which is something I do on occasion. The questions can only be about God, the Bible and anything related to spiritual things. Most of the questions are about God, Angels and the devil. It’s a very interested time; I’d like to film or record it to let parents see how good some of the questions are.

In June I will began a new Kids Church series called: “The 10 Rocks of Truth”  This series will lead children though a journey of what Christians believe and why. I will be cover basic Chrisitain doctrines and present them in a way the H20 kids will understand and remember.  I recently realized that I have taken my Bible College education for granted.  Many Christian adults cannot articulate what the believe as Christians (and when they can, many times it’s very wrong) and  so I’ve decided that this 10 week series will be something I do every year.
